Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina - Students 12 to 17 years of age are welcome to volunteer with a parent/guardian (could be one parent for a few kids) during normal volunteer hours. 18 years of age and older do not need a chaperone. Shift times are Tuesday - Saturday 9am-12pm, 1-4pm and Wednesday evening 6-8pm. Arrive with your permission slip 5 minutes before the shift begins. See these FAQs.

Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF) "We welcome middle school age (12) students through adults to GCF to volunteer year round. We have a variety of opportunities that fit every age and skill set. All of our volunteer opportunities are located in Durham on Chin Page Road at our Corporate Headquarters, just off I-40 and Miami Blvd., easy to get to from anywhere in the Triangle. We have opportunities on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. – noon and afternoons on Saturdays.
